I love how God talks to us. It's a pity we mortals don't pick up on it more often. It's always there but we often don't hear it: gets drowned out by the bedlam around us, or sometimes just the cacophony of our own thoughts. But when you do tune in, it's a spectacularly awesome, indescribable experience. The kind that makes your heart burn within. (In a good way) I don't understand why so many Christians, (me included :s) whine about how God doesn't talk to them, while ignoring His Word. A casual reading reveals nothing special, but when you start to study with an open mind, God opens up, and can you ever hear Him talking! Wow. Powerful. Alive. Sharper than any two-edged sword. (Heb 4:12) From great and precious promises (2 Pet 1:4) to doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction (2 Tim 3:15-16). It's all good. And it's the truth (Jn 17:17). "And if you will know the truth, the truth will make you free" (Jn 8:32). Want to have some grand-scale freedom? Get to know the Word. That's where it's at. And no one can take it away from you.
