Two jets and two towers. Incredible how one moment can change a nation forever. Destroy our sense of security. Create a new central issue in politics -- the war on terror. Change the way we live. Rewire the way we think. Kind of reminds me of our individual lives. We're often so nimby and apathetic about the horrors of life until something hits home -- strikes us on our own turf. Then we suddenly become sensitive. Now when we see a replay of our worst hour in someone else's back yard, we feel our old scars begin to throb. And like wounded animals, we howl in rage at the evil that will haunt us forever.
