Wow. It seems like forever since school got out but its really only been three weeks. Long rides in the car have a way of warping one's perception of time. But then so do a lot of other things. So much has happened. After a week of driving, first home from college and then to Point Rey's on the coast and back home and then to Yosemite and back I was ready for a few days of rest. But as soon as we got home we got a phone call that Grandma passed away and the funeral was that weekend up at Redding. That same day I got a call from summer camp asking me to be the boy's director this summer instead of just a counselor. I don't know what possessed me, but I said I'd give it a shot despite having no previous experience working at camp. We drove up to Grandma's funeral on Sabbath and then back home on Sunday. I quickly packed for camp and left Monday morning. The last two weeks have been CAH-ray-zee. I've been doing a lot of learning on the fly. This week was friendship camp and we had about 85 mentally challanged campers running around. While, not really. A lot of them aren't very mobile so I played camp shuttle bus and got everyone to their various activities. Anyway, I could probably write at least five pages of crazy stories from this last week, but they're going to have to wait 'cause I've gotta jet. But I'll just leave you with this. God is AWESOME and He can take you through anything. It's because of Him that I can keep smilin' every day. :)
